Ted Devine

Chief Executive Officer

Prior to joining insureon, Ted held a number of senior executive leadership positions at Aon Corporation, the largest insurance brokerage firm in the world. Most recently President of Aon Risk Services, which boasts more than $5 billion in revenue and 28,000 employees worldwide, Devine has also served as CEO of Aon Re. Before his tenure with Aon, Devine spent 12 years as Director of McKinsey & Company, helping improve the performance of Fortune 500 companies. Devine is also the Founder and CEO of 1WORLD Sports, a Chicago-based nonprofit dedicated to inspiring at-risk youth to excel on and off the playing field.

Jim Cochran

Founder & Chairman

Since founding TechInsurance in 1997, Jim Cochran has built the company to become the nation’s leading online business insurance resource for IT services and computer firms. In 2000, Cochran launched BusinessInsuranceNow and more recently, insureon, as a sister companies to bring TechInsurance’s proven methodologies to businesses outside IT fields. His contributions to the application, underwriting, and rating processes have transformed the world of online insurance, ushering in new standards of accuracy and efficiency to the online application process.

Yuri Ter-Saakyants

Chief Technology Officer

Yuri oversees technology, engineering, development, and quality assurance for insureon. His 18 years of technology experience include a tenure as Senior VP of Development with MediaBank (now MediaOcean, owned by the team that built Groupon, InnerWorkings, and Echo Global Logistics). In that role, he grew the company from its startup phase, helped it implement a technology platform to suit the needs of the marketing world, and built MediaBank’s first-generation integrated digital workflow system. He joined the insureon team in February 2012.

Jared Kaplan

CFO and Senior Vice President, Product Excellence

Before joining our team, Jared Kaplan served at a private equity firm based in New York, where his duties included leading the firm’s investment in insureon. He has also held the position of Investment Banking Financial Analyst at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Group. Kaplan sits on the boards of AlphaStaff and insureon.

Lou Friedmann

Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships and Customer Excellence

Lou Friedmann brings more than 20 years of entrepreneurial and marketing experience to his work at insureon. Prior to joining the team, he served as Head of Marketing at optionsXpress, an online brokerage firm he helped nurture from its startup phase through its successful public offering. Under Friedmann’s leadership, optionsXpress boasted faster and more cost-effective client acquisitions than any other online brokerage.

Chase Nichols

Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Prior to joining the insureon team, Chase Nichols worked at LendingTree, where he held the position of Director, Offline & Brand Marketing. In his six years with LendingTree, Nichols oversaw the company’s national marketing and media projects. He brings to his work with insureon more than 15 years of marketing experience in various positions.
